Apple added eight devices released in 2015-2016 to its vintage Mac list. This status means that 5 years have passed since the sale of the device in the Apple Store and the official services will stop servicing it as soon as they use up all the remaining parts for it.
Here are some models that have passed into vintage status:
- MacBook 12” (Early 2016)
- MacBook Air 13” (Early 2015)
- MacBook Pro 13” (Early 2015)
- MacBook Pro 13″ (2016, 2 and 4 Thunderbolt)
- MacBook Pro 15” (2016)
- iMac 21.5” (Late 2015)
- iMac 27″ (Retina 5K, Late 2015)
They were joined by all modifications of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, released in 2016.
It is noted that in the presence of parts, laptops can participate in an extended battery replacement program, which is valid for 10 years from the date of release. In other words, you will not be denied a new battery, but only if they are still in the selected service.
