The British company F(x)tec has finally released the unusual Pro1-X smartphone, which was announced back in 2020. It has two outstanding features: a sliding physical keyboard and support for three operating systems at once.

The keyboard has 64 backlit keys. When the keyboard slides out, a special mechanism automatically tilts the screen: it turns out something like a mini-laptop. In addition to the standard QWERTY, you can choose QWERTZ, AZERTY or Scandinavian layout.

Initially, it was supposed that the Snapdragon 835 processor would become the hardware basis, but Qualcomm managed to withdraw it from sale while F (x) tec dealt with supply issues. As a result, the smartphone had to be transferred to Snapdragon 662. It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory (or 6/128 GB as standard). Supports microSD cards up to 2TB.

Pro1-X received a small by modern standards 5.99-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels, curved glass on the sides and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The frames at the top and bottom are wide, so the 8 MP front camera fits without additional holes or notches. The main camera is dual and rather modest: 12 + 5 megapixels.

The fingerprint scanner is built into the side panel, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The battery capacity is 3,200 mAh, the charging power is not specified.

The manufacturer has already begun sending pre-orders from Indiegogo, and the smartphone is also available for purchase on the official F (x) tec website. The 6/128 GB version costs $829, while the 8/256 GB version costs $899. At the current exchange rate, this is approximately 50,200 and 54,400 rubles, respectively.
