In China, an inexpensive smartphone Honor X40 has been announced. He received a screen curved from the sides, atypical for this class, as well as an originally designed camera unit at the back.

The display is 6.67″, with a 10-bit OLED matrix, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits. An 8 megapixel selfie camera is built into the panel hole at the top with support for unlocking the smartphone by the user’s face. Below the screen is a fingerprint scanner.

At the back, in the original ring insert, there are two modules, 50 MP and 2 MP, as well as an LED flash.

The Honor X40 is powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor with Adreno 619 graphics, 6/8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal memory. Autonomous operation is provided by a 5,100 mAh battery with 40 W charging.

The novelty is based on Android 12 with the Magic UI 6.1 shell. In terms of communications, 5G, Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.1 LE are announced. There is no NFC chip in the Chinese version, but it may appear in the international one.

The price of Honor X40 in China will be from 1499 yuan (≈12,800 rubles). The device will appear in retail at the end of September.
