Microsoft has notified users that support for the Windows 10 operating system, version 21H1, will be ending on December 13th. The OS will no longer receive any updates, including security patches. The company recommends upgrading to the current version of Windows 10 21H2 or to Windows 11.

Update 21H2 outwardly differs little from the previous version. The hardware requirements of the current build of Windows 10 have not changed since the release of 21H1.

Microsoft says support for Windows 10 will continue until October 14, 2025. Now programmers are developing version 22H2. Also, a major update to Windows 11 22H2 should be released this month.

According to analysts, version 21H1 in June 2022 occupied 21% of all devices running Windows 10.
