WhatsApp has begun introducing the ability to connect to a conversation via a direct link, similar to Zoom and Google Meet. The feature becomes available gradually around the world — update the application to the latest version.
To make an invitation, you need to go to the «Calls» tab and create the desired link to send to your interlocutors. This works with both voice and video calls.
The link expires 90 days after it was created. And if you send it to someone who does not use WhatsApp, they will be redirected to the store to download the messenger.
It is also reported that the developers are currently testing encrypted video calls involving 32 people. They are already available to a limited circle of users.
