Microsoft has officially unveiled the Designer app, which will become part of the Microsoft 365 package. It is positioned as an alternative to the Canva photo editor, but with one unique feature — the ability to create images from a text description. This function is implemented on the basis of the DALL-E 2 neural network from OpenAI.
In Designer, users will be able to enter a description for an image or design and then use it in their project. Similarly, it will be possible to edit existing pictures, as well as use various templates, shapes and other graphic design elements.
With Designer, you can create posters and banners, cards and invitations, presentation slides, and more.
Anyone who wants to get acquainted with this application can sign up for a waiting list on the official website of the project. The preview version of Designer will be free.
