At the Samsung Developers Conference (SDC22), the company officially unveiled an update to its firmware for smartphones — One UI 5.

The update, based on Android 13, adds new lock screen customization options, an option to customize app permission request notifications, minor changes to the quick settings curtain, improved animations, widget stacks, and an expanded color palette for adjusting interface elements to the background image.

In the meantime, the fourth build of One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 has already been released for beta testers – it will probably be the final one before the release of the stable version. Galaxy S22 owners will receive it by the end of October, while users of older smartphones will have to wait.
