Microsoft announced a rebranding of Office — now the software suite will be permanently renamed Microsoft 365. It will include the already familiar Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream and the new Microsoft Designer service.
The first logo and design changes will appear on Office.com in November, followed by a rebranding of the Office app for Windows, iOS, and Android in January.
Over time, Microsoft plans to update all applications of the office suite. Some of them will get a fresh design and additional features.
The developers note that the Microsoft Office brand will not disappear overnight. For a while, the company will continue to offer boxed versions of the app suite for consumers and businesses.
