In early September, a new feature was spotted in the WhatsApp beta that allows you to completely hide your online status. Now, a month later, this feature has become available in the regular version of the messenger.
You can hide the status through the settings: “Account” → “Privacy” → “Last visit time and online status”. There you need to configure the ability to view the time of the last visit and then apply the same settings to the status view below by selecting «The same who sees the last visit.»
If you select «No one» in the first list and apply this setting below, then no one will see when you are online.
The WABetaInfo portal also reports that some WhatsApp beta testers on Android and iOS have been able to create polls. This feature may come with the next update.
